Are they role models?

Many women have come forward with claims the current U.S. president has sexually abused or harassed them. At this current time these allegations have not been proven to be true or not but the point is should a man or woman with such accusations be allowed to be in a place of power or recognition. As well as the president there has also been many celebrities that have also been in this situation. All these people are essentially role models to the younger generations so is it right they should receive the fame they get when accusations, as crude and awful as they are, are made against them? After all the younger generations will hear of these stories whether it is through social media or TV at some point and there is always the possibility these mixed messages will influence their young minds in the wrong way.

Some argue it is important these facts are known and in cases when proven it has caused a backlash for the individual but on the other hand should these issues get handled more delicately and discretely where the information won't reach the ears of individuals it could have a negative impact such as children. Or should the individual accused not have the right to be in a place of power or fame until the accusations have been dealt with?

I believe the solution here would be to make the information known but have restrictions put in place so only independent individuals who are free to make their own decisions can access it, therefore avoiding any potential problems where children begin to believe it is a normal thing to sexually abuse or even attack another individual.
